The Silence of the Libraries (no, not that Silence) is the eighth episode of Series 4 and the first of a two-parter ending with Forest of the Dead.

The final appearance of Alex Kingston as River Wang-Dong.

Nobody told David Tennant who Alex was actually playing, so that his confusion would be more genuine. Unfortunately, they didn't take into account the fact that Ten seems fairly certain who she could be because she knew his name (which, it turns out, didn't really matter either). It seems to have all foreshadowed the Doctor revealing his name at their wedding, but Moffat decided to make that a red herring at the last minute. Since nobody told Tennant, he just played Ten as assuming she was a future Doctor, which doesn't really fit the logic either but, hey, why tell your star how he should react to news, eh?


MoffGOAT but tbh some of the 2008 special effects and directing bring it down a bit and make it feel cheesey. Lets remake it for Series 10 with GOAT visuals and Ayylmao directing.
